Cylindrical sealed nickel-metal hydride batteries for railway passenger cars are used to maintain the normal and reliable operation of uninterrupted power supply (UPS) power systems for railway vehicle signals, communications, lighting, integrated supervision and control systems (ISCS), automatic fire alarm systems (FAS), as well as platform doors, substation equipment, and more. During normal train operation, the battery provides basic power support for the train; in the event of emergency faults or when awaiting rescue during train operation, the battery serves as the emergency power source for emergency ventilation equipment, external lighting, passenger information systems, door control equipment, and other critical systems.
